No, I think you handled that well. "Mean" to me is spit-ranting in the poor teller's face. You know she's got to be concerned about how much longer she's going to have a job, what with all the smart people running screaming to other banks.
As a teller at my last (very small) bank said: "Don't bank with an establishment unless they are giving out toasters, or casserole dishes, or gym bags or something. If they're small enough to offer presents, they're small enough to treat you like a person."
It has proved to be remarkably sound advice. Go fig. ^^;
