Ugh. Well, at least nothing ACTUALLY bad happened?
1.YAY BEBBEH! She is so stinkin' cute! ^^
2. MIL is a pushy-pants and needs to back the hell off. But we know this. Glad she won't be bugging you for too much longer. :P
3. I think I would have bitten off the substitute doctor's face too. Pregnant women get ZERO respect. I dunno wtf that's about except maybe men sticking their noses where they do not belong. ;P
4. I have a couple of young mom friends who had similar issues with nursing. Each of them now have three kids. With the first kid, there was significant nursing fail on everyone's part- the babies just didn't get it, and the mom's just couldn't produce enough. Second kid comes along and HOLY CARP HOW DO YOU SHUT IT OFF oh wait my kid just wants to eat all the time nevermind. So it may be self-correcting should you have more chibis. ^^; My idiot sister just decided she didn't want to "ruin her body" with nursing and is STILL convinced she's working off "baby fat" after 4yrs even tho she's barely 107lbs. And she's only an inch taller than me. :P
5. Your mum is awesome. I'm sure she will be a vast improvement. It's always nice to have someone besides you and your husband run interference (and not leave crap all over the kitchen). :}
