Sarah-Sensei's Ramblings

So, I was asking my Kindergarten kids to draw a picture of them doing their favorite activity today. My example was a person roller blading. As I was drawing the picture asking them what I should add (thinking they would say trees or grass) the kids start yelling out "A helmet!" "Knee pads!" "Elbow pads!" and I was a bit taken aback because, I honestly NEVER thought about those things XD

When I imagine a person roller blading mine is pretty much totally unprotected, because that's how we played ;p Yeah I guess it wasn't very smart but people didn't worry so much about it. (I mean we never went very fast anyhow).

I guess I need to remind myself that there have been laws made since then that require this kind of protection for children XD
