Summer Gaming Part 2

sarah_senseiWell, still playing a number of things this summer.
I finished Mega Man Legends 2 today (which I have owned for at least 10 YEARS and never played). I always heard it explained 1 and I gotta say... it certainly had more plot than 1, but I would use the term "explain" very loosely.
First of all, when you usually have a clueless main character, I would expect people would explain things to me a little better ;p I mean he doesn't know what's going on, and neither do I. I'd like the Kindergarten explanation for all this futuristic, bureaucratic, BS please. I guess part of the reason that the Legends series has such a cult following is because you could fanfic the hell out of this thing, and come up with your OWN explanations for everything, because they sure as hell didn't answer any of my questions. (That and the fact that fanboys like Roll x Tron femslash, I don't really see it myself, in any universe, but whatever).
The story was ok, (though it brings up more questions than it explains) my main complaint was that everything was so ridiculously expensive in that game, and Zenny seemed hard to come by. The first game at least had a few places where you could make easy money. It probably didn't help that I found the Class S Digger's License impossible to get (I'm not wasting 6 hrs. trying to pass some stupid test, where they require you to do stupid shit in a really low time limit, if I can beat the game without it). I suppose if I COULD have passed the test, money would have been easier to get (since a higher level license make enemies harder but also increases the payout). But some of the prices were fucking insane like over 4,000,000 Zenny. That would take about 20 hours to raise with only an A Class license, guys! I'm lucky I'm so bad assed that I didn't need all those fancy upgrades to kick ass :p
I still am amazed at how stupid virtually EVERYONE is in the Mega Man universe. Three funny moments in this one:
1) When the Carbons find out they are just clones made by machines from a DNA bank of humans who used to live on the Earth, they take it REALLY well and shrug it off saying something to the effect of, "Oh I guess that explains why we don't have much of a written history, huh?" I would have been a LITTLE more upset, I think.
2) After beating the hell out of the final boss the two Mother units make up and we all are friends now (after the one was just trying to fucking kill me!!!) I love how everyone in the Mega Man world tends to forget when someone wronged them (even if it was less than 2 minutes ago).
3) Thanks for leaving me trapped in space with all the murderous robots, guys. (And why the fuck did Data leave you there... I mean if HE could go home, why couldn't Trigger?). We'll see how long the Mother units play nice before they have another argument and one decides to try to wipe out all the people on Terra again. (Also the one Mother unit admited that she was insanely jealous of you before she tries to kill you. I'm sure it's just a matter of time before she'd try to kill you again in a jealous rage).
I also am still working on Epic Mickey, which I would like SO MUCH BETTER if they didn't intentionally fuck up the camera angles. I can only play it for about 40 minutes at a time because otherwise I get really hella pissed.
I started Ocarina of Time 3D and as I said before, it really is very pretty and I love the new models. I also greatly appreciate the fact that Nintendo understands that while 3D is cool and all, sometimes your eyes get tired and you want to turn it off. The little sliding switch on the side of the 3DS screen that lets you change from 3D to 2D at any time, is such a blessing. I am getting kinda old, and too much 3D makes me tired :p So, I greatly appreciate that I can change the setting anytime I want so I can keep playing and give my eyes a slight break.
So, finally finishing the existing MM Legends series makes me happy. Especially, since they are supposedly making 3 this year for the 3DS. I guess we'll see if Capcom comes through. They have this tendency to cancel projects and this is not the first time that Legends 3 was discussed 9_9
