I wanted to tell people earlier, but I really wanted to make sure we were out of the "danger zone" in terms of miscarriages. My mother never had a problem with them, but one of my cousins miscarried her first kid and on the other side of the family another cousin miscarried her first FOUR. :( So, I wanted to make sure there was something to actually celebrate before I told too many people ^^; Now I need to tell work when I get back. Only a few select co-workers know, but I kinda need to tell the office. I'm probably going to miss the beginning of next school year, which will SUCK but... what can you do? (At least I get one month off right? XD And maybe after 4 weeks of using the REAL art text books the kids will appreciate what I try to do!)
We figured it was about time ^^; We've been married 4 years now and our lives have somewhat stabilized where we are. My dad has also been hinting that he wanted to be a grandfather sometime before he died and I'm the best candidate XD
Anyhow, now that I got to see it actually MOVE on the little screen, we are excited. (I could see at least a couple of limbs there, that made me feel better). Oddly enough, my husband wants it to be a girl more than a boy ^^; (I think he feels girls are less trouble!) We shall see though. :) Once we find out the gender, then we can fight over names. We already pretty much agreed that we will probably give it an "American" first name and a Turkish middle name. That will make everyone happy.
